This one is probably the most difficult and the most undefined goal that I have. Other than "learn to play the piano" that is.
I am working on it, though.
Objective: Get fit.
Method: Elliptical machine
Opinions: it's brutal
Have you ever been on an elliptical machine? They're made by Satan in Hell to torture fat people.
I started off barely being able to do 15 minutes (with 2, 2 minute breaks) and now I'm up to 30 minutes with no breaks. Phew, it's rough. So, I'm half-way to my goal per day which is 30 minutes twice a day.
I don't know, maybe in the end I'll think they're made by Angels in Heaven to help fat people reach their goals, but right now, they're still pretty evil to me. It's getting easier, though.
Day by day.
On another note, I officially started writing my bucket list! 20 goals so far. Maybe I should make one of those goals to finish writing my bucket list.
A list of things that I want to do, need to do, should do, will probably one day do, and most likely will never do (depending on the goal), and combinations of all of the above.

2011 - Book #4
Under the Tuscan Sun by Frances Mayes and man oh man was it good.
Absolutely nothing like the movie. Well, other than the buying of an old Tuscan home and fixing it up. I took months to read this book because I savored every word. I would read a bit here and a bit there. Completely worth spending forever. I would read it again. But not for a while.
Oh yeah, full review: Lady Anne's Musings

2011 - Movies #11-15
Movie #11:
"The Social Network"
We were on an Oscar kick.
This was a really good movie, but I didn't think it deserved the Oscar for best film - which it didn't get, because "The King's Speech" did.
Movie #12:
"Winter's Bone"
If there's a movie that was good, depressing, lacked in plot, kept you interested, sickened you, and made you feel a ton of sympathy, it's this movie. Holy crap. I won't even begin to try and describe it - just watch it. Unless you don't like movies like that, then don't, because it's not one of those "oh, it's sad but it's good even though you don't like sad movies and it's a cathartic cry kind of movie." No. It's depressing and disturbing. But good.
Movie #13:
"Salt"
The last movie in our "Oscar movie marathon" and it was alright. I called the ending in the first 10 minutes though. I totally knew -enter bad person's name here- was gonna be the traitor.
Movie #14:
"Easy A"
Ha. Teenage comedy based on The Scarlett Letter that was alright, but shallow. Funny, though. I'd watch it again.
Movie #15:
"Scott Pilgrim vs. the World"
This is a movie Brandon wanted to see and convinced me to watch with him since he had watched all of those Oscar movies with me. It was actually pretty good. It's based on a comic book about a guy whose life is like a video game. Genius. Apparently it's just like the comic, and Brandon loved it. I thought it was pretty good too.

2011 - Book #3
The House at Riverton by Kate Morton
Yes, I was on a Kate Morton kick. And yes, I did indeed buy the 3rd book, but I haven't read it yet. No, it wasn't as amazing as her second novel, but yes, it was still pretty dang awesome.

2011 - Movies #6-10
Movie #6:
"Frozen"
It was terrible. It's about these three people who get stuck on a ski lift at the end of a weekend and the resort is closing, and SPOILER ALERT - they all die. Wait, no, the girl lives. I think. It ends as she's on the way to the hospital. But she was better off dead - since she had to endure so much emotional trauma. She had to watch as her boyfriend jumped down, broke his legs and was eaten by wolves. And then as her friend climbs down but isn't fast enough in running, so he gets eaten by wolves too. Sick sick sick movie.
Movie #7:
"Serious Moonlight"
I've forgotten what the movie is about. I think it's the one with Meg Ryan and her husband wants a divorce so she duct tapes him to the toilet and makes him fall back in love with her. Wasn't worth remembering.
Movie #8:
"Valentine's Day"
We watched this on, you guessed it, Valentine's Day! My idea. It was pretty good. I'd watch it again. There were a bunch of stories going on at the same time. Better than "New York, I Love You" which was the same concept. This all takes place on V-day and has a ton of great actors in it.
Movie #9:
"Toy Story 3"
It's not often that I see Brandon cry at a cartoon. Okay, that's not entirely true. But this one was a good one.
Movie #10:
"The King's Speech"
If there's a film that I would pick as my favorite, this would be it. I've just decided that I can't think of another movie that I like better and feel is a *better* movie. Flawless. It's about King George VI and his speech impediment and an unconventional speech therapist who helps him through it. This took place in the 30s when radio was just beginning to be big and it was a big deal that he couldn't use his language, especially when he was trying to unite Great Britain as they went into WWII. Oh gosh, so good. The last main scene was amazing.
It won 4 of the 12 Oscars it was nominated for (only 1 other move, "Inception", got as many - but for stuff like visual effects and such) and it swept the British Academy Film Awards - winning 7 of those awards. Not that I always believe that the award shows get it right, but they certainly did this year. Favorite movie. And I've never had a favorite movie before. Liked a lot? Yes, but not a specific favorite.

2011 - Book #2
The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton
This is the best book I have read in FOREVER. It almost felt like it became a part of me. Which is a really weird thing to explain. The only other books that I can say that about are:
Harry Potter
Emma - Jane Austen
Again, I just blogged about this book, so I won't go into details again. But it was great.
Read it. You must read it. Put it on your bucket list.

2011 - Movies #1-5
The first movie of the year was...
"Tangled"
And oh my gosh, it was great. Lovely start to the New Year. It's the best Disney movie I have seen (ok, mainstream Disney that is considered one of their "Official Animated Movies") in a long time! It's about time, that's all I've got to say. There's a good reason they were up for an Oscar for Best Original Song.
#2:
"Leap Year"
Okay, I saw this because it has Amy Adams in it and it took place in Ireland. Win-Win, right? Meh. It was alright. Pretty predictable, but it was still cute. I mean, who doesn't love Amy Adams.
#3:
"Up in the Air"
Yeah...Not so keen on this one. I thought the ending sucked.
#4:
"Prince of Persia"
I don't think Brandon liked this one very much. It just seems like all the movies are so over done these days. It honestly felt a lot like I'd already seen it, but I forgot the plot. You know what I mean??
#5:
"The Proposal"
Yet another Romantic comedy that was almost just like "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" except they were both in on the gag.

2011- Book #1
I'm actually a little ashamed of what my first book of the year was. It wasn't the best book.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
I really really really don't want to review this again. I literally just did this today on another blog before I decided to make this one. SO, here's the link:
Lady Anne's Musings
Check it out.
I give it a 3 out of 5.
Won't be making the 2nd and 3rd books part of my 20 new books!

New things.
I love blogs. I love blogging. (Even though sometimes I'm bad at it) And I love love love making lists. I'm excellent at making lists - but not so awesome about going through with the things on those lists...
So, here is my new attempt. A blog about lists. 2 of my favorite things! Next to whiskers on kittens and brown paper packages tied up with string.
This blog will have 2 main goals:
1) My yearly goals
2) My "bucket List"
Now...bucket list. I'm young. 25, in-fact. So...I've got a while before I kick that bucket, so why make a bucket list?? Because 30 is LESS THAN 5 YEARS AWAY! Actually, by this point, it's less than 4.5 years away. Gross. (Sorry, Brandon, my love, who just turned 30). I haven't actually completed this bucket list, and I certainly haven't decided on a number for the amount of things to be on that list. In-fact, I just got the idea yesterday when I was reading my friend's blog Katie's 99 in 999 (which she probably doesn't know I read, but I've always really admired her and her awesomeness, so I'm sure she won't mind). I'm going to do mine a little differently, though. Instead of making it in 999 days, I'm going to make it "before 30" which is still possible. See above statement about the 4.5ish years remaining.
So, here we go!
Bucket list will not be posted in its entirety pre-completion. It will be named one by one as each item gets crossed off the list.
